PUBLICIZE & PROMOTE

WHCA has cost effective ways to help you promote your upcoming event. Whether it’s placing a message on our electronic Community Bulletin Board (CBB) or creating a brief promotional video, we can help you reach that desired audience. The CBB announcements are shown on WHCA’s Public Access channels in between programming. To submit a page for broadcast, go to the Get Involved tab and select WHCA Forms. Looking to create a video? Contact us to get the process started!

EVENT COVERAGE

Know of an upcoming event that you want to share with a larger audience? We can help you capture that moment and share it with the Whitman Hanson Community! Submit a Program Broadcast Application &/or contact us to set up an appointment for one-on-one training, whether it’s with your own camera or our (free) rental video equipment.

TRAINING

Whitman and Hanson residents are eligible to sign up for any of the production training courses that are offered by WHCA.  Beginner-level classes are scheduled regularly and are available in the following areas: Field Production & Shot Composition,  Studio/Control Room Production and Digital Editing with Final Cut Pro X.  Advanced classes are also offered and will be taught on demand.

WHCA INTERNSHIPS

Currently enrolled students who are studying television, video, or a related field may also consider a WHCA Internship. The program is designed to fit an individual’s particular availability and goals. Students who enrolled in this program will work alongside WHCA employees to capture community events or create their own programming for air on WHCA. Once an intern completes the program, they will have a better understanding of community media and a solid foundation in television/video production.
